Haha the biggest pet peave I have is when someone else checks out your call and opens the body to look at the set. Its not because you don't want them to see your set its because the call regardless of who makes it is not exactly the same inside the barrel and tone channel which is part of the tuning. If you really tune them there is about 7 things you are adjusting not just the Reed wedge and tone channel. In a goose call its the air presentation the Reed wedge tone channel the flex on the Reed the pressure of the assembly in the bell and the bell air outlet. Having one part off changes the tone pressure volume presentation and hand formation when presenting a call. On duck calls its even more difficult because you only have 5 notes on the call so you have to get it to preform each of the 5 notes first then by adjusting sanding with a nail file changing Reed density length cut offs bend and squeal you get it to ok then if it's a double you have to tune the second Reed the same way and then you have to retune both at the same time to get cut squeal and rasp. Where with a goose call all the calls are a honk in different ways a duck call actually has three noises a quack squeal and feed that have to all three be in line. I differ on the set up of goose calls from you but I'm probably running a different gut on high speed guts or tapered guts the Reed doesn't go into the tone channel it is designed to run on the round part of the tone board and the Reed be stamped or bent so that it is concave above the tone board which has the channel below the Reed so taking a Reed out if set up like this could take 2-3 weeks to re set properly if you don't do it all the time. I set my calls shave on the top side off set 3/4 inch with a T punch dent and shape the Reed to sit on the edge of the channel not in it and leave the Reed loose enough to vibrate below the wedge. So when someone cracks open the call there like WTF. And I'm like crap I got to retune that.

Ive been learning how to blow a speck call this year. Picked up the speck crusher from my local shop. And man its way easier to blow than my riceland. Ive yet to use my riceland in the field because i have a hard time blowing it correctly everytime. This crusher, i can pick it up and sound like i know what im doing! My lanyard is almost all basin calls now

Just yesterday 10/24/20 we turned about 30 and talked them in. A beautiful thing to see. These things carry a long way. When you see cacks that have the "look" these are magic.

I just got a duck commander duck call and I took it apart to clean it and when i put it back together it sounded different :( I guess I put it back together wrong. I don't really know anything about duck calls lol

I watched like all your videos and they are top notch. This is how birds communicate. It was like watching a video of the last 10 years of my life and someone else's take on how to do it. The set up is perfect the attention getter, meet and great, and landing chatter. It what I always tell my hunting buddy thats wondering why birds are blowing out because the guy next to us is still blowing attention calls when there overhead. The structure is perfect 👌 you should do a video on how to run traffic because people don't understand when to change calls when geese are working because they are usually duck hunters that moved over and dont understand that a duck is like a cessna and a goose is like a 747 they work from different distances in the traffic pattern.

If you change the last note to a hum gr, and mix your da into it. They really land to that. Also your reed on your call isn't set up right. Trying bending the outside edges up a little and kinda mash it or put act shave in it so the middle of the reed has a crease in the middle where all the edges are below it like a dimple and your notes will crack better.

This is by far the best beginner goose call video on YT. This guy uses words to assist the beginner, which is awesome. Most other instructional videos do not which makes it frustrating to us beginners. Great job.
